Science on a Friday night – it’s a date! The Professional Development Committee invites you to Spark After Dark, and an opportunity to spend time with your teacher colleagues or pair up with another teacher looking for a buddy.

Spark After Dark Presents: Exploring the psychology of fear and phobia. A darker Spark After Dark. Fear and phobia are examined as we share the realities, rationalities, and irrationalities of what scares us and why?

Details: Committee members will be in the lobby of Telus Spark from 5:45pm- 6:45pm – 220 Saint George’s Drive NE. Please check in, pick up your Entrance ticket and $20 dining gift card.

Parking or Transit: It is the Teachers responsibility to plan and pay for transportation to this event. Telus Spark Parking Lot is managed by Park Plus Zone 8310 - the cost is $7.00 for the evening, or the C-Train is located at the Calgary Zoo, which is a short walk to Telus Spark.

Please bring a piece of government issued photo ID, as it is a requirement for an 18+ event. Guests will need to provide government issued ID for admission.

Audience Grades K – 12 Teachers & Administrators

Registration Registration is limited to 100 participants.

Registration will open Sunday September 24 at 7:00pm on Eventbrite and is first come, first served.

Once the tickets sell out, Eventbrite will provide a waitlist option.

A fee of $11.98 is required to register ($10 + $1.98 non-refundable Eventbrite fee).

The remaining ticket cost will be covered by Local 38 and tickets are non-refundable.

One ticket per participant. Please do not register for others.
